Hijacker Electrical is a sonic effects processor company founded in San Jose California in the Fall of 2016. We specialize in creating small-batch handcrafted compact effects pedals with a nothing-is-sacred approach to aesthetics while maintaining the highest standards for every component and length of wire that goes into our products. We are inspired by the ‘irreverent’ formation of distortion in 1950's and 60's blues and rock n' roll music and the paralleling developments in space-age semiconductor and transistor technology. The first generation of musical circuits developed back then have laid the groundwork for what we now familiarize as the sound of modern fuzz, overdrive and distortion. Hijacker Electrical aims to carry on that mid-20th century primordial ideology well into the 21st with the most up-to-date design implementations available today.

We strive to go against the grain of subtlety with what our sonic effects processors are capable of in the realms of sound design. Our circuits offer every reasonable point of control to allow complete tonal intuitiveness both in the field or in the studio. We design our products to be some of the loudest and more harmonically pronounced in your effects chain while maintaining a low and balanced noise floor. No reason is made to get lost in a mix or in a band setting or left in the cold with not enough headroom or volume on tap. Hijacker Electrical is proud to only use new and new old stock components from the leading manufacturers best series’ and employing military specification grade wiring whenever possible. We cater to the demand to integrate with major market regulated power supplies by having our products offer the industry standard 9-12V DC implementation (as well as accommodations for 9V batteries when applicable). Our products feature stage friendly, yet easily identifiable LED indication, as well as true bypass switching by default which renders our products non-existent when bypassed. This ensures that a players dry and clean signal remains pure and tonally uncompromised.

All Hijacker Electrical products are designed, built, tested, then packaged individually by a real human being in the United States of America. No robotic assembly assistance or artificial intelligence of any kind has contributed throughout the creation of our products. We stand by our new products lifetime warranty that will establish many years of reliability and consistency through the rigors of the road and stage or the more tolerant life of the domestic or commercial studio.
